Staff

Heather works as the Director of Program Council where she oversees the office staff, short and long-term operations, and day of show duties. She has been a part of Program Council since her freshman year and was the former Promotions Director. A Bostonian at heart, Heather is from Harvard, MA but she now calls Colorado home. Heather is a current Junior majoring in Marketing with a minor in Portuguese. When not in the office you may find her skiing, rock climbing or most importantly, jamming out at Program Council’s epic events.
Nick Schoon Business Manager
As PC’s business manager, I plan and control the financial aspects of all seven major departments within Program Council as well as numerous special events to ensure that we most effectively utilize our annual student-fee based budget. I serve as a coordinator between the Program Council’s many moving parts to make certain we have the funds to get as many awesome shows and events as possible to you, the CU student body, over the course of the year. I am a Colorado kid born and raised, growing up in Colorado Springs, and will graduate in the spring of 2012 with a degree in Accounting.
Devon Tivona Webmaster
Devon works as the Webmaster at Program Council, where he manages the online presence and direction for the organization. Besides Program Council, Devon is pursuing his Bachelors in Computer Science, and a minor in Technology Arts and Media. Additionally, Devon interns for Hewlett-Packard part time. When not working, Devon can be found hanging with friends, snowboarding, and loving fabulous Boulder, Colorado!
Patrick Moore Club 156 Manager / Talent Buyer
Hi! I’m Patrick I’m a business Student with an emphasis in Finance with a certificate in Technology, Arts, and Media. I have been with Program Council since I have been here at CU. I am responsible for managing Club 156 which is the small concert venue on campus. I’m also the talent buyer responsible for providing the best entertainment I possibly can for the Boulder Community and for the University of Colorado’s student body.
James Avery Production Manager
James is the Production Manager for Program Council where he organizes and oversees all aspects of production for campus events. James grew up in Concord, MA where he started his own small production business designing lighting for and producing local events. He has spent the last four years working for Boston’s largest event production companies, including at Boston’s Fourth of July celebrations, major concerts at Gillette Stadium and the NHL Winter Classic. He has also designed lighting for the Savoyard Light Opera Company. James is a fanatic about lights, so if you ever want to do a crazy light show, let him know. James welcomes all to call or stop by if you need help organizing an event at CU.
Jeffrey Lubbers Production Manager
Jeff is one of the new Production Managers for Program Council, but he isn’t new to the sound and lighting world, which he joined in 2007 as a Technical Director in the theatre. He still is one of the UMC A/V Managers but has decided to convert to Program Council and hopes you will join him. Currently he is assisting Eric with anything that he needs and is very excited to help you design all the production aspects of events, large to small. If you don’t see him in the office, he maybe strumming on his 12-string Dean.
Nick Hess Graphic Designer
Nick is a designer, musician, entrepreneur, and all-around Apple guru from Boulder, CO. He is currently a Senior studying Communication and Music. Nick creates all the visual elements for Program Council, including posters, newspaper ads, stickers, brochures, clothing, and other marketing materials. He also helps maintain Program Council’s brand and image on campus. Nick has been an Apple Campus Rep at CU for the past few years, so you may have seen him in the UMC showing off new Apple technology or performing live guitar demos with GarageBand. When he’s not working Nick loves cycling around CO, snowboarding, and taking advantage of Boulder’s 300 sunny days a year.
Chris Kennedy Marketing Director
Chris is a senior journalism major and musician. As Marketing Director, he is responsible for getting the word out about Program Council events through advertisements and public relations. When he’s not in the office, he enjoys attending concerts, reading and writing.
Connie Redfield Marketing Coordinator
Marketing Coordinator’s main tasks center around writing the captivating Buff Bulletins, E-Memos and Press Releases about all of Program Council’s awesome upcoming events. Am I a Marketing major? Of course not. I came across the country with a South Jersey Girl ambition, a passion for music and a love for fun. I’m majoring in Geology and Film Studies, and of course I like rock music. Currently, I also DJ at Radio 1190 and am hoping to pursue a career path in music supervision. Right now, I just like seeing what amazing and exciting things that can happen with Program Council!
Danielle Sandoval Front Desk/Street Team
Danielle is a senior Sociology and Psychology double major. At Program Council she work the front desk, coordinates street team and also does ticketing at many concerts. Outside of Program Council she enjoys concerts, volunteering or snowboarding.
Elaina Brownell Film Series
Hey hey! I’m Elaina, the Film Series Director for Program Council. My duties as Film Series Director are to provide free movies for students and the public every Friday night as well as host advanced screenings of movies not yet released in theatres. An Italian and Film Studies double major, I love all things Italian and, of course, movies. A Colorado native, I love spending time in the mountains hiking, fourwheeling, camping and skiing.
Dan Brunsdon Front Desk
As a front desker, I manage the VIP program, make sure things around the office are current, and help out wherever I am needed. I have worked in the music industry for a couple of years now, and am working on starting my own business. I am now in my third year of college looking to get my Bachelors degree in Marketing with a certificate in Digital Arts. I am a native, coming from Lakewood, CO where I learned to enjoy the great outdoors to it’s full potential. In my free time, I hike, mountain bike, snowboard, skateboard, and work on creative projects.
Will Lake Security Director
I have worked for Program Council’s security group since 2008 and currently occupy the position of Security Director. I am majoring in Media Studies through the School of Journalism and working towards a certificate in Secondary English education. Outside of work and class I enjoy snowboarding, playing guitar, and writing for several websites. My projected graduation is May of 2012, after which I hope to get a job teaching high school language arts and reading classes.
Tristan Griffith Old Main Technical Director
Hey, I’m the Old Main director and I am in charge of production in the oldest building on campus. This building is in fact, older than electricity, but we ROCK it anyway! I grew up in Maryland going to Punk-rock and Ska concerts in Baltimore and DC. This picture is of me with two members from the greatest band of all time; Reel Big Fish. In my free time I enjoy snowboarding, rock climbing, mountain biking and playing the drums. I listen to a variety of genres including rock, hip hop, jazz, acoustic and reggae music. “It’s 106 miles to Chicago, we’ve got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark… and we’re wearing sunglasses. Hit it!”
Matt Hale Promotions Director
Hey PC fans! I work as the Front Desk and Community Service Manager up at our office. My job not only lets me hang out in the greatest office on campus, but I get to work closely with the best staff team in Boulder to bring you guys the grooviest music and coolest films around! I head up our Community Service department, which offers a chance for those of you naughty nellies with service hours to do marketing work for us by putting up fliers and chalking for our events all over campus! It’s the most fun you’ll ever have paying your debts to society, so stop by and check us out!
Kristen Salo Advisor
Kristen works with all aspects of the Student Involvement Office at CU. The Student Involvement Office serves all students by providing programs that promote leadership, culture, diversity and entertainment. She works closely as the advisor for Program Council.  For fun she enjoys going to concerts, reading, hiking and running.
