When Dante Hicks (Brian O’Halloran) is reluctantly put in In 1992, Reservoir Dogs transformed Quentin Tarantino practically overnight from an obscure, unproduced screenwriter and part-time actor to the most influential new filmmaker of the 1990s. The story looks at what happens before and after (but not during) a botched jewelry store robbery organized by Joe Cabot (Lawrence Tierney). Mr. White (Harvey Keitel) is a career criminal who takes a liking to newcomer Mr. Orange (Tim Roth) and enjoys showing him the ropes. Mr. Pink (Steve Buscemi) is a weaselly loner obsessed with professionalism. Mr. Blonde (Michael Madsen) has just gotten out of jail after taking the rap on a job for Cabot; he’s grateful for the work but isn’t the same person he used to be. While Mr. Blonde goes nuts during the heist, the thieves are surprised by the sudden arrival of the police, and Mr. Pink is convinced one of their team is a cop. So who’s the rat? What do they do about Mr. Blonde? And what do they do with Mr. Orange, who took a bullet in the gut and is slowly bleeding to death?  ::About the Artists::

Hip Hop artist Wyclef, more recently known as a politician after his run as a presidential candidate in Haiti in 2010, has had a long and involved career in the music industry. A musician and record producer that has succeeded with not only the genre of hip hop, but R&B and pop rap, to name a few, Wyclef is a very outspoken humanitarian who has never left his Haitian roots. He’s also collaborated with such pop artists as Shakira, T.I. and Ludacris, as well as writing and producing the songs for the documentary The Agronomist, which centered around Haitian activist and radio personality, Jean Dominique.

Cris Cab has been exploding onto the singer-songwriter scene, backed by none other than Wyclef. At only nineteen, he has risen quickly, playing alongside Pharrell and Pitbull.

Local progressive fusion band TTF (Technicolor Tone Factory) will be hitting the stage at 2:30PM. Recent competitor in CU’s Battle of the Bands, the quintet has been working the Boulder/Denver scene successfully ever since.

SunSquabi is the new and innovative electronic hydro-funk trio, composed of producer/guitarist Kevin Donohue, producer/bassist Andrew Clymer, and drummer Chris Anderson out of Boulder, Colorado.  They are a high-energy group and always deliver great live shows, blending several genres of music into a dance-worthy and progressive set.

This epic lineup is gearing up to give CU-Boulder, a school that knows firsthand what it means to party at altitude, a much-needed shakedown before finals hit.  Though the groups range from hip-hop to funk, glitch and more, you’ll see a few common themes: a towering lighting rig, rumbling speakers and the biggest dance party to hit CU-Boulder since last year’s GLOWfest.

MSTRKRFT is the project of Toronto musician Jesse F. Keeler and studio partner Al-P, two guys that’ll mix dance music with any other genre out there with precision and finesse.  Their style could be described in a word: danceable.  Sputnik Music writes, “Enter MSTRKRFT, a shit-hot addition to the global community of sonic warriors currently smashing down boundaries of house, hip-hop, grime, electro and all kinds of electronic experimentation.”

Signed to Pretty Lights Music, Slovenian producer Gramatik found that blending hip hop beats and vocals with live instrumentation was way more interesting to the eardrums. His first album, Beatz & Pieces, Vol. 1, was released last July and he’s been nominated for “Best Chill Out Artist” and “Best Chill Out Track” at the 2010 Beatport Music Awards. Always performing to please, Pnut Butter Jams said that “Gramatik wobbled the crowd into a frenzy” at the 2011 Electric Zoo in New York.

Detroit’s own GRiZ is a producer who takes the top in hip hop and rock to make his own remixes that fall into an uncategorized clash of genres, from funk to glitch. Ethan Baer from SubSynthesis.com has said, “A tremendously passionate and soulful producer, GriZ has a peerless knack for creating profoundly engaging melodies to offset the presence of his phenomenally designed bass.”

Zion I, popular amongst the Boulder crowd, are well-known for their collaborations with The Grouch. The hip hop duo consists of producer DJ Amp Live and MC Zumbi, and their usage of live instrumentation and samples stretches all the way back to the late 90s. With fluid raps and a unique style of mixing, Zion I has been known to “get it hotter than a dance horchata,” making them a favorite among hip hop enthusiasts.
