Jeopardy!, America's Favorite Quiz Show, will be on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus on Friday, October 5, 2007to conduct contestant auditions for the 2008 Jeopardy! College Championship, as well as to give away prizes.�Students interested in auditioning for the show must be full-time undergraduates with no previous bachelors degree.� Preliminary auditions will be held in the Glenn Miller Ballroom on Friday, October 5th from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. The first 1,000 students in line will be eligible to take the pre-test.Eligible students who pass the pre-test will be given a detailed invitation and appointment time to participate in the full audition process later that day, also held on campus. For those not looking to compete on the show, but interested in winning prizes, the Brain Bus "Just For Fun" version of Jeopardy! is for you. Both bands have exploded into the Denver music scene with their unique outlooks on rock. While the Chain Gang provides an electronic/dance genre similar to LCD Soundsystem, The Axe That Chopped The Cherry Tree rocks out with a post hardcore sound reminiscent of The Blood Brothers.
Best known as a member in the Denver favorite band, DeVotchKa, Tom Hagerman released his first solo album, The Breakfast Playground, a beautifully crafted album that shows off his many instrumental talents. Combined with Hagerman’s skill in accordion and violin, other instruments such as the cello, viola and glockenspiel are incorporated to create songs that are reminiscent of silent film composition. Fans of DeVotchKa, Beirut, and Gogol Bordello will thoroughly enjoy Hagerman’s side project.

Part of the Miramontes Music and Arts Festival: For five years, Natasha Leggero has been performing standup comedy
around the country. Her impressive list of appearances include, The Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Reno 911, Premium Blend, The Comedy Factory, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Leggero has guest-starred on It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia, and The Sarah Silverman Show. You may have caught her recently on the big screen in, He's Just Not that into You.
Part of the Miramontes Music and Arts Festival: The jazz-inflected acoustic group, Bela Karoli, led by Julie Davis on
upright bass and vocals, creates hauntingly beautiful music. Considered
to be one of the best bands in Denver, the group has played a variety
of concerts alongside local staples such as Paper Bird and Gregory Alan
Isakov.
The Tallest Man On Earth, aka Sweedish folk musician Kristian Matsson,
is fresh of a tour with Bon Iver and coming to headline on CU campus.
He plays guitar and banjo and has often been compared to Bob Dylan.
Most recently he released a full length album called "Shallow Graves,"
which has been critically acclaimed. He is playing at Old Main on March
29.
