Program Council is excited to announce the official lineup for CU’s 2013 Welcomefest Concert taking place Saturday, August 24th on Farrand Field!
Krewella is an American EDM group comprised of two singers and a DJ, based out of Chicago, Illinois. Krewella are known for their high-energy songs that will get any naysayers dancing. Fresh to the scene Krewella came out with their first EP in 2011, Play Hard. A few of Krewella’s most notable hits include “Alive”, “Killin it” and “Live for the Night”. Krewella’s single “Alive” topped the Billboard Dance Radio Airplay at #1 and The Billboard’s Hot 100 at #32. Headlining a variety of festivals including Ultra, Electric Daisy Carnival and Stereosonic
Hailing out Norway, Cashmere Cat is scheduled to open for Krewella. Known for his hip-hop style beats that build off of crisp snares and smooth melodies, Cashmere Cat is exploding on the scene. The iconic VIBE magazine ranked Cashmere Cat’s edit of Two Chainz, “No Lie” at #1 in 2012 under editor’s pick for genre bending bangers.

The Knocks, is made up of “B-Roc” Rutter and “Mr. J Patt” Patterson grew up in Chinatown, New York. Their unique electro pop sound began back in 2007, and they have yet to release their debut album. Known for their feel good style, the two have shared the stage with acts such as, M.I.A and Sleigh Bells. Some of their most notable tracks include “Learn to Fly”, “Dancing with the DJ” and “Modern Hearts”.

Bass Physics is an electronic duo, based out of Colorado. Their multi-genre sound is best described as soulful electronic music that fuses hip-hop samples and smooth, vibrant melodies, but with the added bonus of live keyboard and guitar. Hot off the April release of their debut album Lose Your Mind, Bass Physics have announced their arrival as artists to watch.

This event is for currently enrolled students of the University of Colorado – Boulder ONLY. If you are a current student, you can get in to the concert with a VALID BuffOne card (Expired cards will not work).
Valid BuffOne Cards will be scanned in exchange for a wristband on Saturday, August 24th from 10a – 12p at the C4C, from 12p – 10p at the Northeast side of Farrand Field, and from 5p – 10p at the Southwest side of Farrand Field!
We STRONGLY encourage coming to pick up your wristband in advance on Saturday to avoid lines!
